Product Details:

321 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel alloy stabilized with titanium. This stabilization enhances its resistance to intergranular corrosion, especially after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800–1500°F (427–816°C). Shims made from 321 stainless steel are ideal for applications requiring exceptional strength, durability, and resistance to high-temperature environments.

• Nickel (Ni): 9.0–12.0%
• Titanium (Ti): ≥5x(C+N)%
• Carbon (C): ≤0.08%
• Manganese (Mn): ≤2.0%
• Silicon (Si): ≤0.75%
• Phosphorus (P): ≤0.045%
• Sulfur (S): ≤0.030%
• Nitrogen (N): ≤0.10%

   • Intergranular Corrosion: Excellent resistance due to titanium stabilization, preventing chromium carbide formation.
